The Georgia Transfer team is pleased to present this video interview with transfer champion Brian Garsh, Transfer Student Success Manager at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In this video, Brian tells us about the many initiatives he’s involved in to help transfer students and champion their success.
Meeting Transfer Students on Their Own Terms
In his work with transfer students, Brian has met students who are proud to be transfer students and of their personal path to the Georgia Institute of Technology. But not all transfer students feel this way.
“We also have transfer students who, once they’re admitted, want to be treated just as any other Georgia Tech student, just as students who were admitted as first time college students. I try to provide programming through all of our different initiatives and opportunities. I try to meet students where they are at their comfort level.”
